2020 CSCMP-CFL Scholarship Recipients
We are pleased to announce our scholarship recipients for 2020! We want to thank everyone who participated at our CSCMP Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament at Top Golf and special thanks to our sponsor organizations for providing financial support that enables our roundtable to recognize our future supply chain leaders.
Ammar Saify is a first-generation international student. Ammar is majoring in Marketing with a concentration in supply chain management at the University of South Florida. Ammar is been an active member of USF-CSCMP Roundtable for more than 2 years and has committed to serve the organization for as long as he can. Ammar was able to secure a summer internship with Dillon Logistics Inc. by networking at the CSCMP events and EDGE Annual Conference. Ammar is currently the President of CSCMP. He stated off with just a member and loved taking pictures at the guest speaker meetings. Ammar works on campus for USF Housing and Residential Education. He is in his senior year and will be part of CSCMP as long as he is in school and thereafter.
Sally Yao is an MBA student and a graduate assistant in the Muma College of Business. She holds a bachelor's degree in Food Science from University of Nebraska-Lincoln and before enrolling in the USF MBA program, Sally had worked in Sales and Supply chain management for three years, where she initiated multiple supply chain related cost saving projects by utilizing her problem solving and analytical skills. She also led an overseas importing project which included sourcing, project planning, custom clearance and domestic logistics. Sally got involved in USF CSCMP student roundtable in fall 2019 and now she serves as the Community Engagement Chair on the E-board. Her goal is to add value to the organization by applying her leadership skills as well as professional knowledge. She has successfully organized the first event for members to volunteer at ToyMakers at East lake and she looks forward to continuing this fulfilling work and organizing various engagement events to provide members opportunities to give back to the community.
Cheryl McCloud is a student at Walden University finishing her DBA with a specialization in global supply chain management in March 2020. She currently holds an MBA in project management from DeVry University, and a B.A. in International Studies from Old Dominion University. Cheryl have worked in global trade, transportation, and logistics for over 35 years and a licensed U.S. Customs Broker. During her career, she worked for some of the largest freight forwarders in the world, owned her own international business, and had amazing learning experiences along the way. She has a tremendous love of global trade and after working and traveling around the world, she wants to continue her work involving future developments on the horizon in technology, new business models, smart cities, new ways of doing distribution and more importantly, she has a big heart and drive for social change. Cheryl believes we should all run with our hearts instead of our minds and not focus on what we think cannot be done but what could and can be done when we allow our passion to drive change for many, not just a few. Cheryl lives in Palmetto, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico with her beautiful three Shiz Tzu's Serenity, Hope, and Joy!
Charles Berry is an Air Force Veteran and an MBA Candidate at the University of South Florida. His military function was air transportation and he is a Certified Supply Chain Associate (CSCA). He has been awarded recognition from Phi Theta Kappa Honors Society for academic excellence in the 95th edition. He is the former Vice President of the Collegiate Veterans Society at Eastern Florida State College and a Fellow of The Mission Continues. He is pursuing a career in procurement and inventory management. His hobbies include real estate and crypto-currency and has volunteered over 2,000 in his community.
